Job Title: Research Informatics Engineer

Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and manage cloud-based compute infrastructure to support and enable Entact Bio’s research activities
- Lead the technical design, implementation, adoption, and maintenance of ELN and reporting/analytics systems that are central to Entact Bio’s research digital infrastructure, enabling entity registration, inventory, and associated results data capture
- Work collaboratively with the research team to establish standards and systems for structured data and metadata capture, including automated lab-based data capture
- Define data models for foundational aspects of our research, such as entities, assays, and relationships
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify research needs, requirements, and provide guidance on data management best practices
- Develop and maintain data engineering pipelines to ingest, process, and analyze complex scientific data from various sources, including genomic, proteomic, and clinical data
- Keep up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies, cloud computing and data management trends, and provide recommendations for the adoption of new tools and solutions
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations, data security policies, and industry standards
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and training to users of the research systems and data management platforms

Qualifications:
- D. or Master's degree in computer science, bioinformatics, or a related field. At least 5 years of experience in research informatics, cloud computing, and data management
- Familiar with industry leading approaches to data capture, manipulation, analysis, and visualization
- Strong programming skills in Python or R, and experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
- >1 year of building and implementing data models in and managing life science informatics systems
- Demonstrated ability to lead adoption of digital tools in a research environment
- Database experience, including knowledge of SQL and NoSQL tools
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong written and oral communication skills
