Elayne Chan-Penebre, Ph.D., is Ph.D.-trained scientist with deep expertise in small molecule drug discovery and development across oncology, immunology, and neurodegeneration. As Senior Vice President of R&D at Dunad Therapeutics, she and the team advanced the company’s ALS program to Development Candidate nomination and beyond. Prior to Dunad, she led the Biology group at Faze Medicines, a biotechnology company focused on the discovery of therapies targeting biomolecular condensates across neurodegeneration and oncology indications. Earlier in her career she spent a decade at Epizyme where she delivered first-in-class development candidates for PRMT5 in oncology and advanced to IND for G9a in sickle cell disease. She participated in the ODAC for the FDA approval of Tazverik, an EZH2 inhibitor, in oncology.  Elayne holds a Ph.D. in Molecular and Medical Genetics from the University of Toronto and completed her postdoctoral training at Boston Children's Hospital/Harvard Medical School under Dr. George Q. Daley.
